Like most young children, I loved to read and draw every chance I got. But at the time that most
of my friends were doing their nails and hair, doodling and reading were still my primary focus.
I didn't end up going to school for art - I went for basic engineering - and absolutely hated it!
After college, I worked in retail stores, restaurants, and owned a sign business before finding THE
great job at a university and then a pharmaceutical company. I worked with databases, website
design, and print graphics for quite some time - and loved it.
After getting married and moving back to the area I grew up in, the chances of finding decent
employment in the graphics field was pretty grim, so I opted to be "just Mom" and find time
again for artwork. At this time, I've found a couple of wonderful local shops to sell my items at
and the rest goes on my "Items For Sale" page or to eBay or local shows. There aren't enough
hours in a day for me to try everything I would like to, but I do mix it up so that painting will
stay fun instead of feeling like work!
Dave has a talent for woodworking, so as we expand, he will be taking on a greater roll in
producing frames, unique gun cabinets, stands and small Adirondack style furniture. Watch for
new items, or ask to be added to our update list!

hope my local friends will join me for classes - monthly
to begin with and if all goes well, I'll offer them weekly.
Classes will include painting pretty pictures, but they will
woven baskets, floor cloths, birch frames, note cards...
whatever sounds like fun!
