We are a non profit 501(c)(3) K9 search and rescue team specialized with the working dog and support
personnel to search for and rescue lost or missing persons within a hundred-mile radius of Keeseville,
New York, which borders the state of Vermont and Canada.
As an active Technical Rescue K9 Team we are specifically trained to assist with land and water
searches, as well as natural or man made disasters in which people may be trapped or missing.
Champlain Valley K9 has made a strong commitment to our community by being an active mutual aid
service to the Clinton, Essex and Warren Counties Office of Emergency Services. We are also an
active team of the Adirondack Regional Technical Task Force which incorporates several local Fire
Departments and the NYS DEC Rangers. If this doesn't seem busy enough we assist the TRI County
Animal Rescue Team (CART) to help with animal rescues when the time arises and lastly we offer
educational programs for adults and youths to help gain necessary confidence and leadership skills in
the wilderness.
