"Wolf Study On Bark"
$20 includes all supplies... acrylic paints, brushes, bark...
I keep getting requests for a painting class on wolves... so here it is!
However, don't assume that in one class you'll walk away an expert.
In order to capture the essence of any animal, you have to study
them - and that's what this class begins to teach you.... it's all in the
details.
You have to look at the different directions that individual hairs take,
the proportion of the nose to the length of the head, tilt of the eyes.
You have to figure out how to capture the fear or anger in the eyes
and the wetness on the nose. You have to learn about light and
shadow and how to best use them so that you don't have a flat
painting.
This class will focus on getting you to look at and begin painting the
details to make the animal feel real. Unlike my other classes, this is
primarily a learning class, not one to create a finished gift.
YOU WON'T GO HOME WITH A FINISHED WOLF IN A FOREST
SCENE. You'll go home with something similar to the picture at the
left - only with a gray wolf. You'll lay out the wolf face and work on
close up details - the wolf scene is another class, another time!
So bring a bag lunch and join me! Water and coffee will be
provided.
